Open to opportunities

Looking for the next adventure.

For years I ran several companies at once. I am narrowing to a single professional focus: work I can do well and still be present for my wife and kids.

If you are building something where an operator who has carried P&L, field delivery, and the technology stack would be useful, I would like to hear about it.

Current

Consulting & technology 2007–Current

The consulting and technology side of what I do. Occasional, part-time, and always has been. Contract engagements I take on when the fit is right, rather than a full-time operation.

  • B5 Services Group, LLC Strategy and operations consulting. Advisory and coaching for owners and operators building the systems and process their growth goals actually require.
  • Noisy Pixel Studios Custom technology: bespoke software, progressive web apps, implementation, and ongoing management, taken on a project at a time.

Both run on my terms and at my pace. Strategy work when someone needs a second set of eyes on how their business actually operates, and build work when the problem is worth solving properly.

Previously

Honey Do Contractors Group, LLC 2018–2026

Led a residential remodeling and home improvement company built around a high-touch, tech-forward homeowner experience: design-focused remodeling, disciplined project communication, and long-term relationships instead of one-off transactions. I have since exited.

  • HD Signature Remodeling Design-build remodeling and insurance reconstruction, including roofing and larger interior water damage restoration, for a premium residential transformation.
  • Honey Do Painting, Flooring & More Painting, flooring, and smaller residential home improvement services under a focused trade brand.

Elevated Roofing, LLC 2013–2018

Scaled a residential roofing and restoration company past eight figures in annual revenue, growing the team from one employee to just over twenty. The work was operations first: production, cash, people, and the systems that keep a field business honest. Then a producing sales and project-management seat before remodeling became the main stage.

Before that

  • 2011–2014

Senior Business Analyst & Data Engineer

Inside a financial-services operation, the work shifted from keeping the network up to making the numbers usable: SQL-backed reporting, Salesforce data work, and dashboards so sales, operations, and accounting were looking at the same story.

  • 2007–2011

    Systems Administrator

Kept a mid-sized financial-services floor running: servers, workstations, Active Directory, Exchange, and a help desk that had to work the same day the ticket landed. The first paid websites and technical-support work started here.

  • 2003–2007

    Financial Analyst & Accounting Coordinator

Reconciliation, AP/AR, payroll and benefits coordination, and reporting that survived messy source data. The education in how money and process actually meet.

Interests

Passion Software

I work on these when I am inspired, not on a product schedule. StoryCollectr and DigiCardRM are the ones I am building right now. The rest wait until they pull me back. None of this is a full-time focus, or even a large slice of the week. If one of them is interesting to you and you want to build it together, reach out.

  • Active Families

    StoryCollectr

A family memory platform that captures the stories behind old photos and keeps them in a private, searchable archive. Voice, video, or text, so the people who hold the stories can share them without a production.

  • Active Networkers

    DigiCardRM

Digital cards and public pages for sharing, plus a personal relationship manager that flags who needs attention before a connection goes cold.

  • Home services

    Noisy Pixel AI Agents Platform

Voice, website chat, and SMS agents for home service companies, run as a white-labeled service. Every call gets answered, every website visitor gets engaged, and the contractor sees who called, what they wanted, and how to follow up.

  • Design-build

    Align Build OS

Front-office platform for design-build remodelers: website budget calculators, a CRM for the consultative sales cycle, and a budget engine that evolves with the design, then hands a clean package to JobTread.

  • Painters & flooring

    Paint Pro Logic

Estimation and job management for painting and flooring contractors. Enter room dimensions, apply production rates, and watch labor hours and materials calculate in real time. The same measurements become a work order.

  • Trade shops

My Trades Hub + Dispatch Pro

My Trades Hub is a vendor management platform for construction companies: onboard, credential, and keep a vendor bench current. Dispatch Pro is the add-on that publishes a job so qualified techs (sub-contractors) can claim it from their phones.

  • Parents

    Play Scout

A family adventure platform for discovering parks, planning outings, and reliving the memories after, instead of scattered searches, threads, and bookmarks.

  • Remodelers

    Revella Home

White-glove finishing for remodelers: staging, photography, and a curated homeowner gift in one bookable package, so the handoff is the high point of the project.

Hobbies & Interests

If you asked me what success actually means, the answer has less to do with titles than with the people I come home to. Family is the center of gravity. Everything else is in orbit around that.

Away from a screen I am happiest when I am making or fixing something. Woodworking, household projects, anything that rewards patience and a good square edge. I love to cook, and I share that lane with my wife. Good food and a full table matter.

I am a lifelong learner in the ordinary sense: books, courses, and messing around until I understand something, then passing it on. And I have had a pull toward land and a real workshop for a long time. That is a direction, not a brochure.
