Personal

A little beyond work — family, what recharges me, what I care about, and the people who helped me become who I am.

Always learning

I'm a lifelong learner in the most ordinary sense: books, audiobooks, podcasts, videos, courses, and messing around until I understand something. If it helps me grow or see the world more clearly, I'll spend time on it. I get energy from learning and then passing what I learn along to someone who can use it.

Technology is a natural home for that curiosity. Tools change fast. I like staying close enough to the work that I can judge what's real and what's noise.

Hands, home, and what's ahead

Away from a screen, I'm happiest when I'm making or fixing something. Woodworking, household projects, anything that rewards patience and a good square edge. I enjoy cooking and sharing that lane with my wife. Good food and a full table matter to me.

I've had a pull toward land and a more hands-on life for a long time: room for a garden, a real workshop, maybe animals someday, space for the kids to roam. That's a direction, not a brochure. I'm still building the path toward it.

Some of that goes back to being a kid who lived outside, built forts, took things apart, and wanted to know how everything worked. The tools got bigger. The instinct didn't change.
